|Abstract:||Edible film coatings are used in food packaging or as skin for various types of food products that require some forms of protection from environment, microorganisms, chemicals or adjacent products. Such films can mechanically protect foods, prevent-loss of volatile flavours and aromas; retard the rate of food deterioration and spoilage by controlling the transfer of moisture, oxygen and oxidizing or reducing agents. Despite many research findings, problem of eggs cracking is still persisting.|
