Title: Adsorption of pyridine on post-crosslinked fiber

Abstract: A novel post-crosslinked fiber, which was prepared by cross-linking base fiber with monochlorodimethylether using Friedel-Crafts reaction, has excellent adsorption capacity for pyridine. Adsorption equilibrium data could be well fitted by Freundlich model. Adsorption of pyridine on adsorbent was physical adsorption and lower temperature was favorable to exothermic physisorption process. Adsorption capacities calculated by pseudo-second-order rate model were close to the values actually measured at lower temperatures.
