Abstract: Various C3-symmetric 2,4,6-triphenyl-1,3-5-s-triazine and 1,3,5-triphenylbenzene derivatives have been prepared using cyclotrimerization, Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling and O-alkylation reactions as key steps. The biological activity of O-alkylated triazine derivatives has been studied towards the HeLa cell proliferation. The resulting C3-symmetric derivatives can also be useful in materials chemistry.
