Abstract: <smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="metricconverter"> A new steroid-dihydropyrimidine derivative has been synthe­sized. The route involves preparation of dihydrotesto­sterone-dihydropyrimidine derivative <b style="">4</b> using dihydrotestosterone <b style="">1</b>, benzaldheyde <b>2</b>, and thiourea <b>3</b> in presence of hydrochloric acid, followed by esterification of <b>4 </b>with succinic acid<b> 5</b> which results in the formation of<b> </b>succinate-dihydrotestosterone-dihydro­pyri­midine conjugate <b style="">6</b>. </smarttagtype>
