| Abstract: | Chemical investigation of the hexane soluble of the methanol-hexane (1:1) extract of the seeds locally grown plant Zea Mays collected from Kushtia district results in the isolation of two new diterpenes, orthosiphol F and ceriopsin C. The structures of the two diterpenes are elucidated with the help of 1H NMR, 13C NMR, COSY, DEPT 45, DEPT 90, DEPT 135 and mass spectral data. |
