Abstract: Phytochemical constituents of <i>Asparagus adscendens</i> and <i>Asparagus racemosus</i> are being reported in the present communication. Two new sarsasapogenin glycosides have been isolated, one from each of the species. Structure elucidation of <b>1</b> and <b>10</b> has been accomplished through the extensive use of 1D- and 2D-NMR experiments including 1H-1H (DQF-COSY), 1H-13C (HMQC, HMBC) spectroscopy along with mass spectroscopy. The reported glycosides have been given NMR assignments using 1D- and 2D-NMR experiments. Further, compound <b>6</b> and <b>9</b> have been found in <i>A. racemosus</i> for the first time.
