dc.description.abstract3-Alkyl/aryl-6-(1-chloro-3,4-dihydronaphth-2-yl)- 5,6-dihydro-s-triazolo[3,4-b][1,3,4] thiadiazoles 3 have been synthesised by the condensation of 5-alkyl/aryl-4-amino-3-mercapto-1,2,4- triazoles 2 with 1-chloro-2-formyl-3,4-dihydronaphthalene 1 in presence of catalytic quantity of p-TsOH under microwave irradiation. Rate enhancement and improvement in yields, characteristics of synthesis under microwave irradiation, have been observed. The compounds synthesised have been characterised and screened for their antibacterial, antifungal, antiinflammatory and antioxidant activity.en_US
