| Abstract: | The synthesis of some triazole derivatives starting from 4-methyl-phenoloxyacetyl hydrazide is described. In this process, the method for the synthesis of 2-chloroacetanilide had been improved and good yields have been obtained. The chemical structure of all compounds have been elucidated by IR, ¹H NMR, ¹³C NMR and elemental analysis studies. All of the compounds have been investigated for plant growth regulating activity. It had been found that they remarkably enhance root elongation. |
