| Abstract: | A simple 1H NMR characterization of diastereomeric pinacols derived from o-alkoxy-acetophenones is described. The 1H NMR spectral assignments are based on molecular modeling and substantiated by X-ray crystallographic structural assignment of a diastereomer. |
