| Abstract: | Methyl 2-methyl-4-aryl-5-oxo-1H,4H-5,6,7,8-tetrahydroquinoÂline-3-carboxylates 4a-d and methyl 2-methyl-4-aryl-5-oxo-1H-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrocyclopenteno[b]pyridine-3-carboxylates 6a-e have been synthesized by the condensation of cyclic 1,3-diones with aromatic aldehydes and  -aminocrotonate using thermal and ultrasound irradiation methods. |
