| Abstract: | Copper(II) triflate catalyses efficiently the -halogentaion of aryl or alkyl ketones with 1,3-dichloro-5,5′-dimethylhydantoin and N-bromosuccinimde to give the corresponding ,-dichloroketones and -bromoketones in high yield with excellent product selectivity. |
