Abstract: A new series of quinoline bearing pyrazole nucleus <b style="">D<sub>1-36</sub></b> have been prepared in one pot by condensing various arylidenemalononitriles <b style="">A<sub>1-3</sub></b> and 3-aminocyclohex-2-en-1-ones <b style="">B<sub>1-12</sub></b> in alcohol and in the presence of catalytic amount of piperidine. All the compounds have been characterized by their percentage yield, melting point, elemental analysis, <sup>1</sup>H NMR and <sup>13</sup>C NMR spectra and IR spectra. These compounds have been screened for their antimicrobial activities<i style="">.</i>
