| Abstract: | Synthesis of some novel condensed heterocycles based on peripheral barbituric acid/1,3-cyclohexanedione moieties and central pyran, pyridine and thiin (thiopyran) ring systems has been achieved by the condensation of barbituric acid/1,3-cyclohexanedione with different aromatic aldehydes. |
