Abstract: Three eel species collected from the thrown out trashes from Visakhapatnam fishing harbour and were subsequently identified as Gymnothorax prolatus, Strophidon dorsalis and Neenchelys cheni are reported here for the first time from the Andhra Pradesh coast. The present report extends the range of all these three species southwards to Andhra Pradesh coast from the northern parts of the east coast of India.
