| Abstract: | The VP1 gene of canine parvovirus was amplified by polymerase chain reaction using the thermostable polymerase with proof reading activity. Taq DNA polymerase was used to add ‘A’ overhang in the PCR product. This ‘A’ tailed PCR product was cloned in TA cloning vector pTargeT and transformed in Escherichia coli JM109 cells. The recombinant plasmid containing the VP1 gene insert was screened and characterized using restriction enzyme analysis and nested PCR. |
