A software program to compute primers for metallothionein (MT) genes has been developed. The program referred to as Gprimer is an algorithm that follows a unique concept of primer selection by identifying the functionally active regions of MT genes. The program has been tested successfully in silico with available MT genes. Gprimer program services can be accessed at the web site: or
