Abstract: With addition of third-and-fourth order anharmonic interaction terms in the two-sublattice PLCM model properties of TGSe crystal have been studied. By employing double-time thermal Green’s function methods, formulae for frequency, shift, width, modified soft mode frequency, dielectric constant and loss tangent have been obtained for TGSe and similar crystals. By putting values of the parameters, thermal variation of above quantities for TGSe crystal have been obtained. Theoretical variation of the above quantities has been compared with experimental data of other workers for TGSe crystals. Our results agree with experimental data of others. Our model is therefore suitable for studying for properties of TGSe crystals.
