Abstract: | Five different approaches have been used to obtain simple relations to study the temperature dependent volume and thermal expansivity of the solids. All the relations are found to be identical. The computation has been done on six geological solids and three metals with the help of these relations. All the relations are quite successful in representing the volume and the thermal expansivity as a function of temperature. However, the relation obtained with the help of Tait EOS (Equation of State) is found to be better. |
