| Abstract: | Biochemical parameters (effect of alkali of different concentration, substrate concentration, nitrogen sources, effect of Ca++, effect of amino acid) were evaluated to optimize cellulase production by Aspergillus terreus on groundnut shell. 1N NaOH, 5% substrate concentration, 2 mM calcium concentration were optimum for cellulase production. Metheonine, asparagine and tryptophan were found to be stimulatory for cellulase activity. |
