| Abstract: | Partial Discharge (PD) measurement is carried out on the accelerated aged oil-paper samples in specially designed test cell. The accelerated thermal stress is selected from the temperature range 120 to 160°°C and electric stress 1.0 to 2.5 per unit (pu, 1 pu = 1.0 kV). The test cell is taken out after 15, 30, 45 and 60 d to assess the extent of degradation of transformer insulation by performing PD test. The PD results are correlated with dissolved gas analysis and microstructure analysis of aged paper samples. |
