Abstract: Immobilised baker’s yeast cells were used to remove Malachite Green from aqueous solutions. Treatment efficiency of the process was investigated under various operating conditions like pH of solution, temperature, contact time, amount of biomass and concentration of dye. Adsorption process fits both the Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherms with R2 values of 0.9993 and 0.9998 respectively and a qmax of 17 mg/g.
