Title: Synthesis and thermoluminescence studies of Sr<sub>4</sub>Al<sub>14</sub>O<sub>25</sub>:Eu<sup>2+ </sup> phosphor

Abstract: Trapping parameter, the activation energy (<i style="">E</i>), the order of kinetics (<i style="">b</i>) and the frequency factor (<i style="">s</i>), are determined for the solution combustion synthesized Sr<sub>4</sub>Al<sub>14</sub>O<sub>25</sub>: Eu<sup>2+</sup> phosphor using <sup>60</sup>Co irradiation source. The glow curve is a double peak structure with prominent peak at 487 K with shoulder at 423 K. Non-shifting <i style="">T</i><sub>m</sub> property is utilized for the trap parameter determination. Glow curve deconvolution (GCD) is carried out on recorded glow curves after gamma radiations. The trap depths calculated ranges between 0.5-1.36 eV. The linearity characteristic of the present phosphor and the fading experiments suggests the aptness of present phosphor towards dosimetric applications.
