Abstract: The complexes of the types [Cp2M(A)CI] and [Cp2M(A)2) (where Cp =cyclopentadienyl; M =Ti or Zr; A=monobasic anion of 3-indoleacetic acid, 3-indolepropionic acid, 3-indolebutyric acid or I-tryptophan) have been synthesized by reaction of dichlorobis(cyclopentadienyl) titanium(IV) (Cp2TiCl2) or dichlorobis(cyclopentadienyl) zirconium(IV) (Cp2ZrCl2) with heterocyclic carboxylic acids in 1:1 and 1:2 molar ratios. The new complexes have been characterized by their elemental analyses, conductivity measurements, electronic, IR and 1H NMR spectral studies.
