Abstract: The hydrolysis of diisopropylphosphorofluoridate (DFP) has been studied using various diamine complexes of Cu salts. The complexes of Cu(II) perchlorate salt have been found to be the most effective catalysts. Lewis acid character of the central Cu metal atom is enhanced by strong anion which in turn increases the catalytic activity.
