Abstract: An aqueous solution containing 1 x 10-3 M  K[Ru(EDTAH)Cl].2H2O and the catalyst Pt/TiO2(ana-tase)/RuO2, on irradiation at 390 nm under a current of nitrogen produces nitrogen oxides and nitrate along with H2 and O2. The formation of these products has been substantiated.
