Abstract: The metal chelates of (5-phenyl-1, 3, 4-oxadiazol-2-yl)-N-benzoyl dithiocarbamate, (POBDC) with Cu(II), Ni(II), C (II), Zn(II), Fe(III) and Mn(III) have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of analytical, conductance, magnetic and spectroscopic techniques. Fungicidal screening against Aspergillus niger and Fusarium oxysporum shows that Mn(III) and Zn(II) chelatese bit fungicidal activity of the order of Dithane M-45 at 1000 ppm.
