Abstract: | Water is an essential component for life on earth but in recent time's water pollution is a serious environmental issue. The treatment of this water is of special concern due to the scarcity of water and the presence of recalcitrance and persistence of pollutants in water. In recent years, various methods for pollutants removal from waste water have been extensively studied. The present paper reviews the use of various types of membrane methods to remove pollutants from waste water. These membrane methods include microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis methods. About 161 published articles are reviewed in this paper. |
