Abstract: Presently, Knowledge-based economy has prevailed in the world. Knowledge economy has got its right over labour and capital based economy. Those corporations, organizations and countries in growth, which are involving in generation of new knowledge though innovations and creativities, then properly distribute that knowledge in the form of a business. Due to changing conditions of national and international business, only those companies are strong in the market, which are able to go beyond the other competitor companies by increasing their knowledge base through consistent innovations. Therefore, in this innovation dependent world, it has become necessary that we should increase our knowledge by innovations and creativities constantly and protect that knowledge legally and use this knowledge in the form of powerful business instruments. Knowledge and innovation are preserved and used as intellectual property. With the advent of a knowledge-based economy, awareness of the intellectual property and proper protection has become very necessary. Therefore, It is necessary that we should observe and evaluate present circumstances of our awareness and protection situation of intellectual property developed in India, therefore one effort is done hereby.
