Abstract: A new method has been developed for evaluating the antibacterial activity of sample based on the area instead of the length of zone of inhibition, using image processing technique. The suggested method has been carried out on 51 Ag coated antibacterial fabrics and the results are compared with those of the standard test method. It is observed that, the results obtained from the present study follow the same trend as in standard method, in almost all samples with correlation coefficient of 0.96; this shows the reliability of described method.
