Abstract: Within the formalism of supersymmetric quantum mechanics both energy-dependent and independent two-nucleon potentials for the D-wave are constructed from their respective ground state interactions. These potentials in turn are used to compute nucleon-nucleon scattering phase shifts to judge their merits. Energy-dependent potential is found to be more effective than its energy independent counterpart except in the very low energy range.
