Title: Synthesis, structural and antifungal studies of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes with new Schiff bases bearing benzimidazoles

Abstract: 2-Amino-5-cWoro benzimidazole and 2-aminobenzimidazole have been condensed with l-(l-phe yl-3-p-chlorophenyl)pyrazolylcarboxaldehyde and resulting schiff bases (L1 & L2) reacted with hydrated acetates of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II). Complexes thus synthesized have been characterized on the basis of t eir elemental analyses, conductance, magnetic moment, IR, UV-vis and NMR Zn(II) complexes only) spectral data. Antifungal behaviour of these complexes has been also studied against the crop damaging fungi H. oryzae and R. solani.
