Abstract: Aqueous Heck type coupling reactions between aryl iodides and terminal alkenes or alkynes have been effected in good yields using a recyclable catalyst system that consists of poly(N-isopropyl acrylamide) bound Pd(0) phosphine and an anionic surfactant, potassium lauryl sulphate.
