Abstract: The effect of concentration of some diols and polyols on the conductivity of boric acid has been studied with a view to select a suitable complexing reagent for the separation of isotopes of boron by ion exchange chromatography. The concentration of boric acid in presence of this selected reagent has also been optimized. Suitability of this technique to monitor the various stages in the ion exchange process control has also been ascertained.
