Abstract: | Seismic microzonation is carried out based on the geological and geophysical characteristics of the site. The seismic data of two of the major earthquakes that occurred in these regions in the past, with the Magnitude of the Coimbatore earthquake being 5.4 and the Magnitude of the Walayar earthquake being 6. The Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA) was calculated and maximum values have been used in the PGA map1. The regional maps on lineaments, bed rock depth and geology have been re-classed and overlaid on the PGA map. |
