dc.description.abstractPresent a novel approach to address System evaluation and testing of underwater acoustic detection system. A distributed Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) simulation environment is developed and a target signal simulator with acoustic coupling device is proposed to provide acoustic signal for receiving array in detection system. With the HIL simulation by using acoustic coupling device, the testing and validation of underwater acoustic detection system can be performed under air conditions, which not only reduce development costs and risks efficiently, but also save the testing and evaluation time. Experiments with the designed HIL simulation were carried out and simulation results show the feasibility and effectiveness of the HIL simulation obtained with acoustic coupling device for underwater acoustic detection system.en_US
