Abstract: Novel heterometal alkoxides of the types, [XNi{Zr2(OPri)9}](X= CI, OPri, OBut, {Al(OBut)4});[XNi{Nb(OPri)6}] (X=Cl, OPri, OBut, {Al(OEt)4}, {Al(OPri)4}];[XNi{Al(OBut)4}](X={Ga(OPri)4}, {Zr2(OPri)9},{Nb(OPri)6}], {Ta(OPri)6}] have been synthesized by the interaction of the appropriate heterobimetallic chloride alkoxides with a variety of alkoxometallate ligands such as KZr2(OPri)9,KAl(OR)4 (R Et, Pri, But) and KM(OPri)6 (M= Nb/Ta) in equimolar proportion. These complexes have been satisfactorily characterized by elemental analyses, spectroscopic (IR, UV-visible) and magnetic studies as well as by molecular weight determinations.
