dc.description.abstractSubstitution of aquo ligands from cis--diaquobis(biguanide)-chromium(ill) ion by β phenylalanine in aqueous medium has been studied spectrophotometrically. Activation parameters have been calculated. A mechanism involving the prior formation of ion pair followed by associative interchange (Ia) has been suggested for the anation of the Cr(Ill) complex.en_US
