dc.description.abstractReactions of [RuHCI(CO)(PPh3)3] and [RuH2(CO)(PPh3) 3] with schiff bases (HL) derived from S-methyldithiocarbazate and pyridine-Z-aldchyde, 2-acetylpyridine, thiophene-2-aldehyde. 2- acetyl1hiophene and furan-z-aldehyde lead to the formation of neutral complexes of the type [RuX(CO)(PPh3)2L] (X = H or CI). The probable stereochemistries of the complexes have been established on the basis of elemental analysis. IR, 1H and 13C NMR studies. The triphenylphosphines are trans leaving CO and H or Cl cis to each other in the complexes.en_US
