Abstract: The reaction of cyclohexanol has been carried out over-HZSM-5, HY, various silicoaluminophosphate (SAPO), MSAPO and chromite catalysts active in cyclization reactions. The reaction was caried out in the temperature range of 180°-350°C and 0.5 h-1 weight hourly space velocity. All the catalysts show high activity. All SAPO catalysts show the presence of acidic active centres. The chromite catalysts show the presence of acidic and strong basic active centres. The SAPO, MSAPO catalysts are characterized by X-ray diffraction, IR, ESR and XPS techniques.
