|Abstract:||The partial molar volumes of oxalic, malonic, succinic, glutaric and adipic acids have been determined in water and water + 5, + 10, + 20, + 30 and + 40 wt % acetone mixtures from density measurements in varying. ranges of concentrations at four different temperatures ranging from 288.15-318.15 K. The density data have been analysed by means of Masson equation. The data have been used to obtain partial molar volumes, coefficients of thermal expansion and partial molar expansibilities of the acids in these solvents. The results reveal the nature of solute-solvent interactions in these solvents.|
