Abstract: Some new diorganochlorotin IV com lexes of the composition R2CISnS2 NCH2CH2XCH2CH2 (where X= >CH2,>CH-CH3, >N-CH3, >O, R= -CH3, and n-C4H9) have been synthesized by the interaction of diorganotin dichloride with the sodium salt of the corresponding ligands in 1:1 stoichiometric ratio. These complexes have been characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, molecular weight measurements and spectral studies like IR and NMR (1H, 13C and 119Sn).
