Title: Synthesis and characterization of tris(3-nitroformazanato )rhodium(III)chelates

Abstract: Tris(3-nitroformazanato)rhodiurn(III) chelates have been synthesised and characterised by elemental analysis, IR and PMR studies. The present study reveals that the coordination of these Iigands to rhodium(lll) occurs through nitrogen atoms 1 and 5 of the formazan ring and the - NO2 group does not take part in coordination. These tris chelates contain three symmetric six-membered CN4Rh rings.
