Abstract: Several new complexes of Fe(II) with N-salicylideneand N-(2-hydroxy-I-naphthylidene)amino acids (amino acids taken are glycine, 1-alanine, 1-phenylalanine, 1-valine, 1-Ieucine, 1-histidine and 1-tryptophan) have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, conductivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements, and electronic spectral data. An octahedral geometry around the metal ion is proposed.
