Abstract: Earlier experimental and computational studies on peroxidase catalyzed oxidation of NADH have ignored the role of methylene blue in the reaction system. Experiments confirm that the reaction of MB+ and NADH is quite fast and should be taken into consideration. An alternative model involving the participation of methylene blue in the oscillatory reaction has been proposed which also predicts oscillations according to computer results reported in the paper.
