|Title:||Synthesis and characterization of thallium(I) complexes of biologically active benzothiazolines|
|Authors:||Bhardwaj, N C|

|Abstract:||The complexes of thallium(I) with benzothiazolines of the type TI(Bzt) (where Bzt-1 is the anion of BztH molecule) have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, molecular weight determinations and UV, IR, 1H and 13C-NMR spectral studies. These studies reveal the bi-coordinated state for central thallium atom. Some of the ligands and their thallium(l) complexes have also been screened against a number of pathogenic bacteria and fungi and are found to possess good antibacterial and antifungal properties.|
