Abstract: Viscosity and density of concentrated aqueous solutions of NaCl, KCI, CH3COONa, MgCl2, BaCl2, Na2SO4, KNO3 and NaNO3 at different molalities have been measured at 298.15 K. The values of apparent molal volume, (φv); relative viscosity, (ƞrel) and free energy of activation, (Δµ0) have been deduced from density and viscosity data. The structure making and breaking properties of the fluid have been considered as measures of solute-solvent and solute-solute interactions. Results show that there are short range and weak interactions.
