Abstract: The excess molar volumes V of mixtures of 2-butoxyethanol + ethylene glycol, + diethylene glycol, + triethylene glycol, + propylene glycol, + dimethylsulphoxide, and + cyclohexane have been measured as a function of compositions using a continuous-dilution dilatometer at 298.15 K. The excess molar volumes are negative over the entire range of composition for the systems 2-butoxyethanol+ethylene glycol, + dieth-ylene glycol, + triethylene glycol, + dimethyl sulphoxide and positive for the remaining two systems, 2-butoxyethanol + propylene glycol, and + cyclohexane. The results have been used to estimate the excess partial molar volumes of the components.
