Abstract: The critical micelle concentration (CMC) of sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) in ethyl acetate-water and acrylamide- water mixtures of different compositions has been determined in the temperature range 25-45°C by means of conductance measurement. It has been observed that CMC is temperature dependent and it is found to increase with increase in molarity of the cosolvent. The thermodynamic parameters of micellisation have been computed and discussed.
