Title: B-Z Chemical oscillations in nitric acid and phosphoric acid medium with gallic acid as substrate and ferroin and Mn(II) ions as catalyst

Abstract: Chemical oscillations have been studied both visually and potentiometrically with gallic acid as substrate in a new acid medium, i.e., HNO3 medium with ferroin as catalyst. The oscillations are very much pronounced. Studies have also been made in H3PO4 medium using Mn(II) ions as catalyst which is also a new combination. The oscillation parameters have been found to obey certain simple relations. A comparison has also been made with previous studies in H2SO4 and HCIO4 media.
