| Abstract: | This is a case study to find out the variations in the time intervals of faculty members for bringing out journal articles. Annual reports of the University of Kerala from 1980 to 1999 (20 years)have been taken as a source to collect the publication data of faculty members working in the science departments of the University of Kerala. A total number of 1542 articles were produced during the period under study. The study shows that the mean year taken to bring out one article by a lecturer is 0.915, reader is 0.906 and professor is 0.471. Female members need more time than male members to publish journal articles. |
